Lexar has announced at CES 2019 that its whopping one terabyte (1TB) SDXC card is now available to buy. We first saw this huge capacity card back at Photokina last year, and is now offers the most memory that you can get in one SD card.

The Lexar Professional 633x SDXC UHS-I card, to give it its full name, offers a read speeds of 95MB/s – making it perfectly suitable for 4K video shooting, or for high-speed continuous shooting.

“Almost 15 years ago, Lexar announced a 1GB SD card. Today, we are excited to announce 1TB of storage capacity in the same convenient form factor”, said Joey Lopez, Senior Marketing Manager. “As consumers continue to demand greater storage for their cameras, the combination of high-speed performance with a 1TB option now offers a solution for content creators who shoot large volumes of high-resolution images and 4K video.”

The Class 10 UHS-1 standard and offers V30 video performance (which simply means it can sustain at least 30MB/s continuous video recording).

The card is on sale for a recommended price of €439.99 (that’s £397 or $507).
