Sony A7000 specs leaked and it’s set to be a jaw dropper of a camera

We could see it revealed in January

Sony A7000

The Sony A7000 is one of the most hyped cameras of 2019, and it will also be one of the first we will see of the year. This is because the camera has reportedly been pencilled in for a launch at CES 2019

Given the launch is imminent, specs have been a little thin on the ground but a new leak seemingly confirms that this will be one powerful camera.

According to Sony Rumors, the new camera will usurp its predecessor in every conceivable way. Given the Sony A6000 is still one of the best cameras around (especially for its price) and certainly one of the best mirrorless cameras, these new specs seem to prove that Sony will have another giant hit on its hands.

Here’s what Sony Rumors reckons we will get – it got its information from a leak on Chinese social network Weibo:

32MP Exmor RS APS CMOS with DRAM
New Ultra Fast LSI
Blackout-free Shooting
925-point PDAF, 60fps AE/AF
10fps/16Bit Mechanical Shutter
20fps/14Bit Electronic Shutter
30fps/12Bit AE-L/AF-C E.S.
Electronic Shutter Speeds up to 1/32000s
4K/60p 10Bit Super35mm Video
4K/24p 10Bit 2.4:1 WDR Movie
ISO 64-64000

Comparing this to the Sony A6000 and the Sony A6500 and there’s an upgraded sensor (32MP, from 24MP), increased ISO (ISO 64-64000, compared to 100-25600) and 4K shooting, up from 1080p (this was something found in the A6500 as well).

This increase in quality does increase the weight, though – 580g, up from 344g on the A6000 and the A6500’s 453g.
