It’s a hard feeling to convey in words, and taking up photography was a way of transmitting the beauty of the marine world where words failed. For me, nature is art, and the ultimate ambition is to create imagery which embraces the beauty and art inherent to nature.
I am drawn to minimalist black and white compositions. They allow us to slow down and appreciate the exquisite beauty of aquatic inhabitants, from a turtle’s shell to a simple brain coral.
My hope is that as the viewer absorbs each element of the image, a feeling, and perhaps a story will emerge.
