Grains de  Sel

I photograph under the name of Grains de Sel since ten years now. I started by photographing exclusively landscapes. Today, I don’t define myself as a pure landscape photographer but more like a portraitist because I photograph “things” in nature rather than nature itself.

In this (non-finished) serie of photographs: “Atlantic Wall”, I approach the bunkers as people. I try to make the best portrait.

I isolate them, photograph them from several angles, come back several times to have the right light, the right tide. This series was made on black and white film with a device hasselblad 503cw.
