“My work is definitely marked by a minimalist aspect. It’s more about expressing my feelings than something I really choose. I’m always trying to discover a line, a curve, an unusual shape. This is actually the same for my musical tastes, for example, the music of Esbjörn Svensson Trio.
I go in for ethereal atmospheres where space and silence offer a kind of breathe in which I’m touched. I’m particularly attracted to landscapes with an ambiguous atmosphere, where calm may foretell a storm, where one feels both the stillness and an uneasy ambience.
I think b&w suits this kind of atmosphere and reinforces the enigmatic side of two different worlds, one reassuring and the other threatening.”
