Ivana Stojakovic
My name is Ivana Stojakovic, I live and work in Belgrade, Serbia. I graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Belgrade, with Master degree in Industrial design.If I have to describe my work short and simple, I would say that it is the journey to myself and my subconscious mind. It is always about the story, and the visual part is wrapped around it, it’s not irrelevant, but without the narrative, the big picture can easily be lost.
I find the black and white technique the most effective tool for expressing that narrative and with the whole drama that comes with it. In monochrome, you are not distracted by the seductive impact of colors. You are just focused on the combination of different elements that create certain meaning and you can find your own and read the story in your way.
